Use of Stack App for Team Communication – Child Safety Requirement

To ensure the highest standards of child safety and governance, all team communication must occur via the Stack App rather than private messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.
Stack provides an official, club-sanctioned communication channel that can be monitored and accessed by authorised club administrators if required. This transparency is essential to protect players, volunteers, and coaches, and ensures communication remains appropriate, inclusive, and accountable.

Private messaging platforms such as WhatsApp cannot be monitored or overseen by the football club. This creates potential child safety risks, including:

Inappropriate direct contact between adults and children
Lack of visibility for the club in the event of a complaint or concern
Difficulty responding to or investigating child safety matters
Inconsistent messaging to families

Using Stack ensures:

Clear oversight and accountability
Alignment with the club’s Child Safety Policy
Protection for coaches and volunteers
A safe, transparent communication environment for all families

Maintaining communication within official club platforms is not about limiting connection — it is about safeguarding our players and ensuring we meet our legal and ethical child safety obligations. Under Australian and international law, a child is generally defined as any person under the age of 18.

Please reach out to our Child Safety officer on child.safety.officer@beaumarisfc.com.au if you have any queries regarding this policy change.

If you need any help regarding Stack or not receiving messages/emails please email bfc3193@gmail.com direct.
