Use of Stack App for Team Communication – Child Safety RequirementTo ensure the highest standards of child safety and governance, all team communication must occur via the Stack App rather than private messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.
Stack provides an official, club-sanctioned communication channel that can be monitored and accessed by authorised club administrators if required.
This transparency is essential to protect players, volunteers, and coaches, and ensures communication remains appropriate, inclusive, and accountable.Private messaging platforms such as WhatsApp cannot be monitored or overseen by the football club. This creates potential child safety risks, including:
Inappropriate direct contact between adults and childrenLack of visibility for the club in the event of a complaint or concernDifficulty responding to or investigating child safety mattersInconsistent messaging to familiesUsing Stack ensures:
Clear oversight and accountabilityAlignment with the club’s Child Safety PolicyProtection for coaches and volunteersA safe, transparent communication environment for all familiesMaintaining communication within official club platforms is not about limiting connection — it is about safeguarding our players and ensuring we meet our legal and ethical child safety obligations. Under Australian and international law, a child is generally defined as any person under the age of 18.
